My first book

Ah, my first blog, but what to say? I think I'll begin by discussing one of my two current projects. Project one is a novel, complete, except for some needed expert editing. Project two is a short story describing a recent, heart warming incident that really happened to me. The novel is about three-hundred-fifty or so pages that tell the fictional story of a young woman,Beth, who grows up in a religious cult where she and her younger brother are abused by their guardian, who happens to be their uncle. To put it bluntly, he is a terrible man who is a cross between a religious zealot and a vicious pedophile. But, her uncle is not the only horrible man in her life. There is another who enters into the picture when Beth is about seventeen and engaged in the cult business of prostitution. The story really begins with this man leaving the scene of his attempted murder of Beth. It then flashes back to Beth's early years with her parents, the accident that killed them, and she and her brother's subsequent seven years with their uncle in the fictional town of Spirit Grove in southern Minnesota. The story then picks up where it began (the attempted murder of Beth). She recovers from her wounds and begins to try to learn the true identity of the man who tried to kill her and bring him, along with the cult leaders, to justice. An older woman who essentially saved Beth's life (along with her two friends) help her. Do they succeed? You'll have to read the book to find out. I plan on e-publishing the book by August, 2012 under the title "Do You Trust Me Now". I will post the prologue in my next blog, hopefully filling you up with extreme anticipation of the publication of "Do You Trust Me Now". Until then, adios amigos. Jeffrey Jan Ollman
